There are four types of players that exist on a team, which category do you fall into?
!. Willing and able:These are players a coach can get after and they understand why the coach is getting after them. They enjoy playing the game, and they complete assignments as given by the coach. They can play.
2. Willing and unable: a typical high school athlete falls into this category. They have all the desire and will work hard, but may not be the most talentd player. They are good role players and can be moved to the top category with some work and encouragement.
3. Able but unwilling: These are the ones I have trouble with. All the physical talents in the world, but lazy and take too much of a coach's time trying to motivate them. They do not take kindly to "aggressive counseling".
4. Unable and unwilling: These players don't have the talent nor the drive to become better. They are like a cancer on the team, always complaining and slacking off.
