Christian Schools in Largo FL - IRCS Building a Solid Foundation

Choosing from one of the many private christian schools in Largo Fla. for your child’s education is a major decision and can be a daunting task. So what sets Indian Rocks Christian School apart? We lay a strong foundation for our students’ intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being that will stand firm against the torrents of life.

An IRCS student is like “a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall because it had been founded on the rock” (Matthew 7.)

We provide a foundation of rigorous academics, competitive athletics, enriching fine arts programs and Christian development that equips students to engage the world for Christ.

Academics

Indian Rocks Christian School is one of the largest, full-service, christian schools in Largo, Fla., offering grades pre-K through 12. Our challenging college preparatory program, with Honors, Advanced Placement and dual credit college courses, stokes the fire of imagination and intellect, teaches our students to interpret every subject area through God’s truth and encourages passionate intellectual inquiry. IRCS is dually accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI).

Athletics and Arts

IRCS encourages and develops our students’ unique, God-given talents beyond the classroom. Athletics is about more than just competition or winning. It is about good sportsmanship, Christ-like attitudes, a servant spirit and the life-long lessons the program imparts. Indian Rocks is a member of the FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association).

Far from being just a canvas and a brush or an instrument or a stage, the Fine Arts program encourages students to express the beauty of the world, the imaginative power of our creator God. Students enjoy a hands-on education, experiencing the arts both through classroom instruction and active participation in field trips, band, choir, drama and special presentations.

Armed for Christ

Indian Rocks Christian School adopts the historic Christian view of life as presented in the Bible. The goal of all our instruction is to seek a restoration of the “whole pupil” to a position of true knowledge, righteousness and holiness in Christ. We believe in partnering with parents and the local church to equip students to humbly and faithfully serve God in church and the world. Students are given the opportunity to lead worship during Chapel services and practice discipleship by participating in community outreach and ministry programs.
