Race for Education & Family BBQ Thursday, April 29

Join IRCS for fun and games for the entire family. Inflatables, Climbing Wall, Power Jumps, and more. Gate opens at 5:00 p.m. Dinner served through 7:00. Race for Education start, 7:30.

Plese Note: On line donors will be directed to a special designated Race for Education site using First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks on line giving.

Race funds raised in 2010 will go towards installing Multimedia Projectors in the Elementary Classrooms and other additional technology enhancements They will also assist in replacing classroom furniture throughout the Middle and High School.

A Few Statistics:

1. Approximately 65% of potential sponsors contributed in 2009.
2. The 2009 average gift was $26. 

 Here's how it works: 

1. Parents and students work together to identify family, friends and community businesses that they believe would sponsor their student for at least $5 in the Race for Education.
2. Students then send out sponsor letters with the commitment that they will "go the extra mile" for IRCS. Please note: all addresses will not be used by IRCS or FBCIR for any purposes other than the Race for Education.
3. Sponsors then determine in the privacy of their own home whether or not they are able to contribute at the time (no door to door sales). Sponsors then return the mailer with their donation enclosed - this year they may donate online!
4. Student incentives are based on the number of Sponsor Address Labels they complete, not based on funds donated.
