Baseball

The baseball program is now the up-and-coming program at IRCS as part of a resurgence under a coach who is an alumnus of the school. Improved facilities, quality coaches and hard work have resulted in growth and new excitement in the program. IRCS now fields three teams, middle school, junior varsity and varsity, with more than 50 student-athletes in the program. Fall Ball, Summer League, and individual off-season training have been added to help players reach their full potential. Home games are played here at The Eagles’ Nest. Visit www.eteamz.com/ircsbaseball/.

Softball

The softball program has enjoyed playoff success for the past five years as they continue to grow and reach for the next level of play each year.  Middle school and varsity teams include girls from 6th-12th grades, according to skill level and ability.  Several players are now starting to be involved in travel ball during the off-season, helping the team get better and stronger in their skill sets.  Nice facilities at The Eagle’s Nest have warranted hosting of the district tournament several times, with the team advancing to the second round for the past few years.

Tennis

IRCS fields two tennis teams, varsity boys’ and varsity girls’.  When numbers allow, JV teams for both are also included.  The tennis program is relatively unknown, but IRCS has had some top-notch players who have been nationally ranked on the Junior Tennis circuit.  The team uses the SW Recreational facility on Vonn Road for practice and matches.

Track & Field

This is the biggest program at IRCS as far as number of participants, with teams for middle school boys and girls, as well as varsity boys and girls.  Over the past several years, a number of student-athletes have competed and qualified for the State Meet at the end of the year.  Each year the teams get better and faster, setting new school records on a regular basis.  With a track facility on campus, the team is able to train and prepare with minimal distraction.  From pole vaulting to sprints, the track program offers an atmosphere of competition and team work.
