Basketball, Girls & Boys
One of the larger programs for IRCS is the basketball program, fielding six teams with middle school, junior varsity (JV) and varsity teams for both girls and boys. Student-athletes in grades 6-12 participate at any one of the levels according to their skill level. Tryouts are held and cuts are made to determine the final rosters of 10-15 players for each of the teams. Players compete against public and private school teams and have been very successful in playoff competition over the past several years. All home games are played in our gymnasium in the Family Life Center on campus.

The wrestling program is the newest program for IRCS and one of our fastest growing. From the beginning, the wrestling team has worked very hard and had moderate success, looking for a breakout year. This year, the practice area is being moved from the gym to the multi-purpose room giving them more time in a dedicated space. With the influx of several new wrestling students, the program continues to grow and mature. Students participate in many of the big area tournaments and only wrestle in a few dual matches. This helps maximize the number of matches for each of the wrestlers.

Soccer, Girls & Boys
The soccer program at IRCS is also a large program, fielding four teams, including middle school boys and girls as well as varsity boys and girls. The team rosters range from 15-22 players after tryouts and any necessary cuts. Middle school teams play a short season of about 10 games each, while varsity teams play a full schedule from November to January. Both varsity teams have been successful in winning conference championships and advancing in the state playoff series. Home games are played at The Eagle’s Nest, part of the IRCS Athletic complex.
