I’ve watched many of the IRCS Live Chapel Services and truly enjoy watching the students lead and listening to the message being given. I have also watched several of the Veteran’s Day programs and I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to you and your staff- not only for your dedication to showing such gratitude to our service members, but just as importantly for teaching our young ones of the importance in doing so.
My sister Carrie and I come from a family of Navy Sailors and Army Men, and I married into a family of Marines. We were taught from a young age of the true meaning of sacrifice – to write a blank check to your country, payable up to and including your life, to protect the freedoms we enjoy on a daily basis. The simple fact that they are able to attend a Religious school where they can freely worship our God without fear and persecution is a daily reminder of one of those freedoms that they enjoy on a daily basis. At a time when there is so much division in our Country, it was so heart-warming to see and hear the essays and stories from your students today honoring those who stand tall for our Country. And I was so surprised and impressed that your program covered so many aspects of military service – not just focusing on the Service Men and Women, but also discussing the strain it places on the Families left at home while their service member is away and recognizing their service too, as well as discussing Military War Dogs, and also Service Dogs and their importance. These are such valuable lessons for our young ones, and I pray that they will continue to recognize and pray for our Military Veterans long after they have graduated from IRCS. You and your staff have given them the foundation for that, and this military family is truly grateful.
