Indian Rocks Christian School is pleased to announce Ben O’Donnell as our new certified Strength Training and Conditioning Coach. Ben is a former Division 1 athlete and Strength and Conditioning coach. He played men’s basketball for Florida State University and the University of Central Florida. Additionally, he has over ten years of experience working with various men’s and women’s sports teams at Kansas State University and the University of Central Florida. With a proven and successful track record in Division 1 sports, we are excited to see how this research-based, sports-specific program will enhance our students and athletics program.
IRCS student-athletes who desire to become better, faster, and stronger in their sport will now have the opportunity to work with a coach who, first and foremost, loves the Lord and possesses firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be a college athlete and train like a college athlete.
Coach O’Donnell will focus on helping our students develop sports-specific strength training, power, and agility while also focusing on mobility and injury prevention. We are confident that Ben O’Donnell’s proven experience in collegiate sports training will help IRCS Athletes perform to the best of their ability and, if it is their goal, prepare for their next step in college or professional sports. Coach O’Donnell will focus on IRCS Middle and High School sports teams and help during our physical education classes.
As our newest pastor, Aaron Filippone, shared in church recently, one of our goals is to provide our families with the tools to be successful. We believe that Coach O’Donnell’s knowledge and skills will provide IRCS students with tools to set them up for success. You can get to know him more on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
We can’t wait for you to meet Coach O’Donnell. Stay tuned for more information coming soon! As always, thank you for making IRCS your educational partner.
