In The Beginning…
Since our founding in 1984, Indian Rocks Christian School (IRCS) has been dedicated to partnering with local families to provide the highest quality Christian education in an environment of genuine love and concern.
Our school was established as a ministry of Indian Rocks Baptist Church, rooted and grounded in the unchanging truths of God’s Word and committed to educating students through a Biblical worldview.
At IRCS, our rich history spans over four decades. From our humble beginnings with just 42 preschool and kindergarten students during our inaugural year, we now proudly serve over 1,100 students today.
Just four years after our school was founded, our elementary and middle school programs were established, moving our then 450-member student body into the campus we call home today. That same year, IRCS earned accreditation through the Florida Association of Christian Schools & Colleges, a testament to our commitment to academic excellence.
Our Vision
Our first graduates were awarded diplomas in June 1995, marking a significant milestone in our school’s history. As IRCS experienced tremendous growth, we added a preschool program, catering to the needs of the youngest learners aged 2-4 years old. That same year, we proudly unveiled the Eagles Nest Athletic Complex, further enriching our student’s athletic pursuits.
Today, IRCS is thriving with every grade level from K2 to 12th grade operating at capacity each year. As we look toward the future, our Soaring Forward Initiative propels us forward. In partnership with our dedicated families, we aspire to develop strong Christian leaders who are ready to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Governance
Indian Rocks Christian School continues to operate as a ministry of Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Our senior pastor, Aaron Filippone, functions as the primary overseer of our school ministry, directs the School Team, and provides direct supervision to the Superintendent of Schools through the School Team and church.
The superintendent is responsible for the operation of the schools according to the established policies and philosophy. He serves under the direct supervision of the pastor.
IRCS School Team
The IRCS School Team functions as an advisory board. Our School Team is selected by recommendation from the school and church at large through the Indian Rocks Baptist Church Nominating Committee. They serve under the direction of the senior pastor of Indian Rocks Baptist Church.
The IRCS School Team works with the School Superintendent and school administration to develop and maintain an ongoing strategic plan to achieve the goals and objectives of the school ministry, mission statement, and philosophy of education.
Accreditation
Indian Rocks Elementary, Middle and High schools are proudly accredited by Cognia & Association of Christian Schools International.
Our school is also a member of the following organizations: SBACS (Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools) & FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association)
