Welcome to Third Grade!
Inspiring life-long learners is the of goal of third grade. Throughout the year students will be challenged with multiplication, division and even geometry in mathematics. Focusing on comprehension and fluency will enable students to successfully transition from learning to read to reading to learn. Small group, whole group, as well as literary center instruction provides a bridge across many genres. Interacting with non-fiction text in science and history allow third graders to connect ideas with experimental learning opportunities, projects and field trips. Most importantly students will learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ, his work on the cross and how this applies impacts their lives.
John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”
