The Honor Societies of IRCS is made up of the National Junior Honor Society for 8th and 9th grades and the National Honor Society for 10th, 11th and 12th grades. Our members are chosen for their success in scholarship, citizenship, service and emerging leadership. The Honor Societies is governed by the Executive Board made up of high school members who choose to take on this additional responsibility.

The Honor Societies are responsible for the Veterans Chapel presented each November to the community on behalf of the school and church. Our goal is to honor our Veterans and expand our students’ and school families’ knowledge and experience of duty, honor and patriotism. Additionally, the societies lead our entire school in Christmas Outreach, providing Angel Boxes to Pinellas County teens in long term foster care and Christmas stockings to the public elementary and middle school students our Pack a Sack program ministers to all school year. Our members are also involved in fine arts, athletics, Student Council, class offices, community service groups, and jobs while maintaining a high GPA.

I am thankful for the opportunity to work with our emerging leaders at IRCS. I have been the Honor Societies Advisor since 1998. Through the years, I have been blessed by our outstanding Honor Society members. I was in NHS in high school and chosen for Phi Theta Kappa Honors Fraternity in college. It is a joy to witness the big and little accomplishments our members have completed here at IRCS and as college students and adults. Our focus is on Christ as our example of leadership, citizenship, service and scholarship.
