Basketball, Girls & Boys

Basketball is one of the larger athletic programs at IRCS which consists of six teams; Middle School, Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity teams for both girls and boys.  Student athletes in grades 6-12 participate at any one of the levels according to their skill set.  Tryouts are held and cuts are made to determine the final rosters of 10-15 players for each of the teams.  Players represent IRCS and Christian sportsmanship on the court, competing against public and private school teams. All home games are played in our state-of-the-art gymnasium located on campus in the Family Life Center. IRCS athletes have been very successful in playoff competition over the past several years and several players have received scholarships to compete at the college level.

Basketball Cheerleading

The IRCS cheerleading program has grown to be one of our most successful programs, bringing the school our very first FHSAA State Championship trophy and repeating with two additional state titles.  They have won many competitions and have been FCC National Champions seven times.  From sideline cheers to back flips, round offs, moving pyramids and music routines, our girls work almost year-round to attain the highest level of success possible.  Their dedication and hard work shows every time they step on the field or the court!
